Elisa
is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Pisa and Guest Professor at CIRCLE, University of Lund in Sweden. Her recent research interests are at the interface of International Business and Human Rights. Her work has been published by Cambridge Journal of Economics, Developmentand Change, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, Research Policy and World Development.

She coordinates the project on Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights.

CHIARA CERTOMÀ

Advisor on Environmental Politics; Business and the Environment

Chiara is Research Fellow at the Scuola SuperiChiara Certomàore Sant’Anna, Pisa, external professor at the University of Pisa and Fellow of the Earth System Governance Project, Lund University.
She is interested in environmental politics (with particular focus on environmental justice theory and environmental conflict analysis), participatory research and politics, and the role of multilayered and multiscalar actor-networks in global and local environmental governance.
Amongst the others, her works have been published in Environment and Planning D, Planning Theory and Environmental Values, Futures and Local Environment.

She contributes to this project by advising and writing about environmental and human rights issues.

MATTEO CORCIOLANI

Qualitative Analysis

Matteo CorciolaniMatteo is assistant professor at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa, Italy. He has a PhD in business administration from the University of Pisa. He teaches consumer behaviour and marketing communications, and his research interests focus mainly on consumer behaviour. His projects include the consumption of authentic items, consumption communities, cause-related marketing, and crisis management. He has published in the International Journal of Market Research, Management Decision, and Marketing Theory.

He does content analysis on CSR reports and manages qualitative datasets.

DANIELE DALLI

Qualitative Analysis

Daniele DalliDaniele is Professor of Marketing at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa, Italy. His research interests include consumer behavior, consumer culture, and consumption communities.

His work has been published in international journals (International Journal of Research in Marketing, Managing Service Quality, Journal of Business Ethics, Management Decision, Journal of Business Research, Marketing Theory, International Journal of Market Research). He has had chapters published by international publishers (Routledge). He serves as Editor of the Italian journal Mercati & Competitivita’. He co-authors a textbook in consumer behavior and consumer culture.

In this project he is in charge of qualitative and content analyses of CSR reports.

DAVIDE FIASCHI

Quantitative Analysis

Davide FiaschiDavide is Associate Professor at the University of Pisa. He is a faculty member of the Department of Economia e Management. His research focuses on growth, natural resources, nonlinear dynamics, regional policy, wealth distribution, social mobility, and corporate social responsibility. He has published in international economics journals, such as the Journal of Economic Growth, European Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, European Journal of History of Economic Thought, Journal of Macroeconomics and Oxford Review of Economic Policy.

He is responsible for thinking and supervising the econometric analyses of this project.

CHIARA MACCHI

Advisor on International Law; Business & Human Rights

Chiara MacchiChiara is a Post-doc researcher in International Human Rights Law at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa) since May 2015. She was awarded her PhD at the same institution with a thesis on corporate accountability for Human Rights violations. She teaches International Human Rights Law and Business and Human Rights. Since 2011, she is an associate of the Essex Business and Human Rights Project. Chiara holds an MA in Human Rights and Conflict Management and a BA in International Relations. Her previous work experiences include a consultancy on business and human rights for the Italian Ministry of Economic Development; a research internship with the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre in London; a research internship with the EU Delegation to Namibia with focus on children’s rights (Windhoek) and a job as researcher at Cirpac (Florence).
Her main research interests include: economic, social and cultural rights; human rights accountability of multinational corporations; human rights protection in the extractive sector; investment and human rights.

FEDERICA NIERI

Quantitative Analysis

Federica NieriFederica is a PhD Student in Business Administration and Management at the University of Pisa. Her research interests are in the impact of the adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility policies on the actual social conduct of multinational firms. She also holds a Jorge Meyer-Stamer Grant to analyse the social and environmental conduct of firms in developing countries’ industrial clusters.

She is the data manager of the project and in charge of quantitative analyses.

MONICA PRATESI

Quantitative Analysis 

Monica PratesiMonica is Full Professor of Statistics at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa, Italy. Her research fields include small area estimation, inference in elusive populations, non-response in telephone and Internet surveys, design effect in fitting statistical models. Her work is published in more than 50 papers in international journals (Computational Statistics, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Journal of Official Statistics, Survey Methodology) and conference proceedings.

She has been involved in national and international projects: she coordinated the SAMPLE project (FP7) and currently she is involved in the INGRID infrastructure (FP7) and coordinate the Interuniversity Tuscany Centre for Advanced Statistics for Equitable and Sustainable Development “Camilo Dagum”.

NICOLA SALVATI

Nicola is Associate Professor in Statistics at the University of Pisa. His recent research interests include robust regression, quantile and M-quantile regression, multilevel models, geographically weighted regression, spatial statistics, and applications of small area models in poverty mapping. He has participated and he is participating in research programmes at national and international level: INGRID, E-FRAME, SAMPLE. His work in the last five years has been published by Journal of Royal Statistical Society Series A and B, Statistics in Medicine, TEST, Statistical Methods in Medical Research

GRAZIA D. SANTANGELO

International Business Advisor 

Grazia SantangeloGrazia is Full Professor of International Business at the University of Catania, where she also holds the Jean Monnet Chair in International Business for European Union (IB4EU). She researches in the field of International Business and has recently become interested in Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights related issues.

Her work has appeared in Academy of Management (AoM) Annual Meeting Proceedings, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Research Policy and Regional Studies, among others. She was awarded the AoM International Management Division Willamette University, Atkinson Graduate School of Management Best Paper Award in International Ethic, Social Responsibility, and/or Sustainability.

ANNAMARIA TUAN

Qualitative Analysis

Annamaria TuanAnnamaria is a Research Assistant at the University of Pisa. She received her Doctorate in Business Studies in April 2015 at the University of Udine, Department of Economics and Statistics, with a thesis entitled “Bridging the gap between Social Media Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility”. Her main research interests are: internal and external communication of Corporate Social Responsibility with a focus on the adoption of Social Media. She is specialised in the use of qualitative techniques. During her PhD, she has been a visiting scholar at the CSR Center of Copenhagen Business School.

She does content analyses on CSR reports and other qualitative analyses and manages qualitative datasets.

ANDREA VEZZULLI

andrea-vezzulliQuantitative Analysis

Andrea is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa and Research affiliate at CRIOS, Bocconi University. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Milan. He was a Research fellow at the Department of Management, University of Bologna and at UECE, University of Lisbon. He was also a visiting research student at the University of York (UK) and junior researcher at Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli, Turin.

His main research interests are in the area of micro-econometrics, economics and management of innovation, knowledge diffusion/protection, retail banking and small business finance.
His works have been published in several international journals (Economic Inquiry, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Research Policy, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Applied Economics, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Labour), book chapters and conference proceedings.
